Posebnu magiju Rovinja nemoguće je dočarati rečima, stoga neću ni pokušavati. Ali,  bez obzira na to da li spavate do podne na prostranom francuskom krevetu na poslednjem spratu trošne rovinjske vile, udišete more posle ponoći dok se pripiti spuštate niz stene, ustajete u cik zore i, nakon prve jutarnje kafe na lokalnoj pijaci kupujete sveže voće, uz slatko vino i inćune slušate ulične svirače, uživate u pogledu na veličanstveni grad sa vrha prašnjavog brda dok crkvena zvona bruje, ili, lutajući uskim kamenim ulicama završite u ateljeu nekog slikara – Rovinj će vam pružiti osećaj kakav retko koji grad može. Rovinj je poput starog prijatelja i uzbudljivog, još neistraženog ljubavnika – istovremeno. I zato, kada ga jednom upoznate i pustite u svoj život, vraćaćete mu se zauvek.

It’s impossible to pick the right words to describe Rovinj’s unique magic, so I won’t even try. But, regardless of whether you sleep until noon on a large French bed on the top floor of a charming antique cabin, breathe in the sea air after midnight while tipsy, trying to climb down the rocky coast, get up at the crack of dawn and buy fresh fruit at the local market after enjoying a cup of coffee, listen to street musicians while drinking a sweet wine and eating anchovies, enjoy the view of the magnificent city from the top of a dusty hill while the church bells ring, or wander the narrow cobbled streets ending up in some painter’s studio – Rovinj will give you a feeling unlike any other city. Rovinj is simultaneously like an old friend and an exciting, unexplored lover. And so, once you get to know the city and let it into your life, you will, without a doubt, keep coming back to it over and over again.
